There are two ways to use the search tool.

Option #1:
Select how you want to search in the first box. (“All Words” is the first choice. Click the down/up arrows for other choices.)
Type the corresponding term in the empty white rectangular box.
Click the “Search” box.

Option #2:
Click the blue box that says “SIMPLE.”
Click your type of search (All Words, Titles, Authors, or Subjects)
Type in the corresponding term.
Click “Search.”
In either case a list of materials matching your request will appear.
Write the call number (the letters for Fiction or numbers and letters for Non-fiction) and the first word (not A, An or The) on a call slip (piece of paper).
Find book(s) in library.
Check out wanted books.
