Today you will take on the role of an employee for the Association of American Innovators of the Industrial Revolution.  The organization has decided to award one innovator of the Industrial Revolution with an award: The American Industrial Revolution Achievement Award. This award recognizes an innovator for making a significant contribution to our society. Your boss has asked you and two of your colleagues to research influential innovators and make a recommendation to the Award Committee for who should receive this prestigious award.  

As you research each innovator, you will take notes on the worksheet you have been given. After you finish researching all of the innovators, you will come to a consensus with your group on who you will recommend for the award.

Your final product will be a tri-fold presentation board that will aim to persuade the committee to choose your innovator.  This tri-fold will involve a letter recommending the innovator for the award, a model and explanation of the innovator's invention, and background information on the innovator. If your group can persuade the Award Committee, this person will get the American Industrial Revolution Acheivement Award.
