Welcome to Mrs. Baird’s Room!

Welcome to Mrs. Baird’s first and second grade classroom! Mrs. Baird grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and attended the University of Utah for her undergraduate degree. She loves the outdoors and is passionate about sports, especially soccer! Mrs. Baird is an avid reader and writer and she instills this passion of authorship in her students. Mrs. Baird’s first and second-grade class will be filled with lots of learning and new adventures. Students will explore the community and our world by building strong reading skills and by reading engaging texts that help make learning meaningful and exciting. Students will do word work which includes vocabulary building and spelling, independent reading at their individual reading levels, and writing about reading.
