Outside Wear

Cold winter weather is upon us. Please remember to send your child(ren) to school with hats, gloves, mittens and winter weather apparel. We will be going out to recess unless it is raining or temps are below 19 degrees.

Lost and Found

We have a bunch of clothes in the lost and found.  When you come for Parent Teacher Conferences, please check the table for clothes your child may have misplaced.

Sick Students

Parents please call the school by 8 AM if your child is sick.

Illnesses

Upper Respiratory Infections, sore throats and cough are starting to make the rounds. Please remind your children to cover their coughs and sneezes and wash their hands often.  If your child has a fever, they need to stay home for 24 hours after their temperature returns to normal. If they are given antibiotics, they need to stay home for 24 hours after they start the medication.

Winter Concert –Save the date

The Winter Concert will be December 18^th at 5:00 PM.  Save the date!

Stone Soup

Stone Soup is scheduled for Tuesday, November 26. Stone Soup originated as a wonderful classic children’s story about everyone working together for the good of the whole. On Stone Soup Day all students bring in vegetables to add to a community soup pot. We all prepare a meal together, set the tables, then sit down and eat together. Stone Soup is a school-wide (teachers/staff/students) cooperative meal that feels like a special celebration. Tables are made beautiful with white tablecloths and arrangements. Once everyone is eating, students and staff can stand and share something for which they feel grateful. The experience supports a feeling of positive community, of safety and nourishment, and self-efficacy as all community members work together to create something unique.
