Special Town Meeting

Hello all,

I wanted to bring to your attention that there will be a Special Town Meeting on September 11th at 7:00 p.m. Two of the warrant articles before the voters will include:
1) Permission for the School Board to move money out of surplus and into the school’s maintenance reserve fund (to add to existing funds in that account), and…
2) Permission to then use the maintenance reserve funds to pay for the boiler replacement for the school.
As you may know, the School Board recently voted to replace the old boiler with a new propane system. Please know that we are NOT asking the Town for any more money, rather we are asking for permission to transfer and use monies already drawn in taxes from previous years, and that currently sit in other school accounts. The taxpayers must authorize the use of these tax dollars, and so we hope to see as many people turn out to support this very important initiative for the school and the children.
Please help us spread the word around town.
Kind regards,
Dan Ross
